• Serves as the immediate supervisor for the Assistant Dean of Housing, Residence Supervisors, and Residence Life Office Coordinator
• Maintains the daily operation of the Residence Life office
• Responsible for the recruitment, hiring, training, and oversight of the Resident Assistants
• Assists the Dean of Students in maintaining student life standards and facilitating the student disciplinary process
• Holds regular staff meetings to conduct business, to determine personal and professional needs of staff, to set goals for implementing student services, and to professionally enhance the staff
• Maintains professional vibrancy to monitor trends, collect ideas, and evaluate successful techniques and programs in order to provide a state of the art residential program
• Annually reviews each staff member's job performance, soliciting dissatisfactions and evaluations, setting checkpoints for future assessment of performance as needed
• Works in conjunction with Physical Plant personnel to ensure the overall good maintenance of the residence facilities
• Works in cooperation with Public Safety personnel to maintain safety and security within the residence halls and overall campus environment
• Prepares budgets as required, exercising care in handling funds, and maintaining a balanced budget
• Makes routine monthly and annual reports to the Dean of Students and reports serious developments or problems to him as soon as possible
• Cooperates with faculty and staff to maintain a living / learning environment that encourages students' academic success and maturity in Christ
• Serves as a mentor to students
• Provides oversight for campus ministries directed toward women students
• Other duties as assigned by the Dean of Students

• Masters degree in Student Development or related field
• Minimum of five years experience in Residence Life or Student Development
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Obvious passion for working with students
• Demonstrated leadership abilities

The Moody Bible Institute is a Bible college located in downtown Chicago with an undergraduate enrollment of 1480. The Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association accredits Moody as does the Association for Biblical Higher Education. The Department of World Missions and Evangelism offers six majors (International Ministries, Urban Ministries, Evangelism & Discipleship, Jewish Studies, TESOL and Applied Linguistics), with 8 full-time faculty members and approximately 320 total students in the department.
