Commission on Accreditation Actions

Actions Taken February 22-24, 2007 - Posted 3/07

At its February 22-24, 2007 meetings, the Commission on Accreditation of the Association for Biblical Higher Education took the following actions regarding the accredited status of institutions:

Following satisfactory completion of an institutional self-study process and an evaluation team visit, the accredited status of the following institutions was reaffirmed for 10 years:

  • Barclay College (KS)
  • Clear Creek Baptist Bible College (KY)
  • Emmaus Bible College (IA)
  • God's Bible School & College (OH)
  • Hobe Sound Bible College (FL)
  • Kuyper College (MI)
  • Lincoln Christian College & Seminary (IL)
  • Manhattan Christian College (KS)
  • Oak Hills Christian College (MN)
  • Ohio Christian University (OH)
  • Nazarene Bible College (CO)
  • Rosedale Bible College (OH)
  • Somerset Christian College (NJ)

Following satisfactory completion of an institutional self-study process and an evaluation team visit, the graduate unit of the following institution was granted accreditation until 2010:

  • Baptist Bible College & Graduate School of Theology (MO)

Following satisfactory completion of an institutional self-study process and an evaluation team visit, the following institutions were granted initial accreditation status:

  • Huntsville Bible College (AL)
  • Williamson Christian College (TN)

Following satisfactory completion of an institutional self-study process and an evaluation team visit, the following institution was granted candidate [pre-accredited] status:

  • International Reformed University (CA)
  • Olivet University & Seminary (CA)

In light of their failures to satisfactorily strengthen their compliance with ABHE Criteria for Accreditation, specifically in reference to financial stability, five institutions were placed on WARNING status. WARNING status does not constitute a public sanction.

One institution was removed from WARNING status.

One institution was removed from probation:

  • Master's College & Seminary (ON)

One institution's accreditation was removed. A second institution was denied initial accreditation. These decisions are subject to appeal. Once final decisions have been made, appropriate information will be distributed.
