•  Direct and lead the college in achievement of the college’s mission, philosophy, and vision.
• Direct and lead the college in the formulation and direction of sound policies and practices in all academic, fiscal, spiritual, and administrative affairs.
• Direct and lead the development of the college’s strategic goals and the accomplishment of the college’s objectives, and annual action plans.
• Enable the Board of Trustees to fulfill its governance function.

2. Strongly committed to and knowledgeable in the Wesleyan holiness theological tradition with an astute understanding of the Church’s history, mission, and ministry.

A quintessential spiritual leader - with a compelling love for God and an abiding passion to fulfill the great commission by raising up Christian leaders for the world-wide cause of Christ; known as a person of godly wisdom and judgment, with an understanding of the times in which we live, and having developed a comprehensive biblical worldview.
4. Passionate in pursuing issues related to faith development of the Board of Trustees, administration, faculty, staff, and students.
5. Demonstrated leadership skills comprising both vision and willingness to execute tough decisions.
6. Committed to excellence in Bethany’s historic blend of Christian service preparation; a capable writer and speaker, inspired by daunting challenges, patiently persistent in addressing complex problems, courageously entrepreneurial in exploring new methods and venues for theological education and compelled by a global vision of Christian ministry.
7. Understanding of the nature of relationships, including interpersonal skills that will effectively serve Bethany Bible College: in its campus community, in its local, national, and global constituencies, and in recruiting support and investment for its programs.
8. Earned doctoral degree preferred; prior administrative experience required.
9. Ordained minister preferred.
